In Harm's Way

Two Marine's were killed, CNN reports. They were serving our Country in this time of war. On Interstate 15 in California.

Each January, in the winter season, I am prompted to remember the man my unit lost. He was pinned between two M60 tanks. An accident in Fort Knox.

In the blink of an eye, he stepped in the wrong spot; the tank driver pivoted the wrong direction. The soldier dead.

I'm not sure the driver ever recovered from the wrong turn.

So little margin for error.

Pray for their families.

"Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." George Orwell.
